TATIO´S GEYSER & MACHUCA
At 4320 meters above sea level, in the heart of La Cordillera de los Andes nature delights us with the communion of earth, water, air and fire which combined create the awesome geothermal field celled Tatio.
Rising at dawn and going through the mountains in a 1 hour and 45 minutes trip, we will be greeted at the Tatio, which is a place where we can be witnesses of the violent encounter between the boiling water (85 ° C), that spring from the depths of the earth and the low temperature of the surface, whose union forges a surprising view of large plumes, which can be seen all over the 3 km2 of this geothermal field.
Plumes and desert colors will welcome us as we walk through the Geyser and we are witness of a magical sunrise which make a amaizing contrasts between mountains, steam and sunlights giving us a landscape of extraordinary beauty. Here we will take a good breakfast and we can choose to give us a delicious hot spring bath. Returning to San Pedro de Atacama we will review the history of sectors such as Putana ford by observing its wildlife and communing with the customs and traditions of the local people.
